SUGGESTED FUNDS

Adult Education Fund – Provides for Adult Education programming including Lifelong Learning. Also supports special lecture series and programs, including Artists- or Scholars-in-Residence.

Cantor's Discretionary Fund – Funds available for the Cantor's use in supporting programs and causes of her choosing.

Florence Posner Shofar Fund - Provides Shofar training for our Youth.

General Fund – Supports the operating budget of the congregation, supplementing dues to cover day-to-day expenses.

Mitzvah Angels Fund – Provides support to offset the costs related to planning and executing home deliveries of food and gifts made to congregants at times of stress.

Music Fund – Enhances the musical traditions of Temple Israel, including special programming and concerts.

Oneg Shabbat/Kiddush Fund – Supports weekly Happy Half Hour, Erev Shabbat Oneg and Shabbat Kiddush.

President’s Fund – Allows the President to fund special programs at their discretion. 

Rabbi Klein's Discretionary Fund – Funds available for the Rabbi's use in supporting programs and causes of his choosing

Rabbi Mars' Discretionary Fund – Funds available for the Rabbi's use in supporting programs and causes of her choosing.

Religious School Fund – Donations to this fund support teh Allene Naphtali Gilman Religious School.

Senior Program Fund - Donations assist funding for the monthly Senior Group programming.

Social Action Fund – Donations assist in funding worthwhile projects of the Social Justice Team.

Tikkunapalooza Support – Helps support Tikkunapalooza, a congregation-wide annual day of intergenerational Tikkun Olam, repairing the world, through mitzvot across the greater Columbus community. 

Hilltop Community Kitchen Support – Since 2017 Temple Israel members and families have volunteered to serve the Hilltop Community Kitchen and supported the Hilltop Community Worship Center with funds to cover the paper supplies needed to serve nearly 500 free meals per week.

Women of Temple Israel (Sisterhood) – WTI participates in social action activities, organizes monthly social gatherings, participates in the WRJ Central Ohio Tzedakah Collective, and supports Temple Israel holiday events.  They also help fund activities of the Allene Naphtali Gilman Religious School.  We invite you to join us!
